10 May Telecommunication Systems for Offshore Facilities – Reach Integrated Awarded Telecom Systems for REPSOL’s (TALISMAN’s) New Offshore Oil Producing Platform

OceanMight Sdn Bhd (OMSB), an associate company of KKB Engineering Berhad, which offers full project engineering services including Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation and Commissioning (EPCIC) scopes for offshore facilities such as substructures, inter-platform bridges, topsides, jackets, process skids and modular compression skids.
OMSB has been awarded a contract for the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of REPSOL’s new KNDW-D wellhead platform for the Kinabalu Redevelopment Project located within the KINABALU OIL FIELDS, situated off the coast of Sabah.
Under this arrangement, OMSB has today awarded Reach Integrated with the task of “Design, Supply, Testing and Onshore Commissioning” of various Telecommunication Systems for the new KINABALU Wellhead Platform (KNDW-D) as well as the necessary telecommunication integration and tie-in works at the existing KINABALU Production Platform (KNDP-A).
Reach Integrated’s scope of works would include design, supply, testing & commissioning of:-
a. Explosion Proof Public Address / General Alarm (PA/GA) System;
b. Explosion Proof Closed Circuit TV (CCTV) Camera & Wash System;
c. Explosion Proof Telephony & Sounder Beacon System;
d. Non Directional Beacon (NDB) System for Helicopter Flight & Approach Guidance Purposes; and
e. VHF-AM Aeronautical Radio System for Helicopter Flight & Approach Guidance Purposes.
