30 Dec TELECOMMUNICATION SYSTEMS FOR OFFSHORE FACILITIES – REACH INTEGRATED AWARDED TELECOM SYSTEMS FOR PETROFAC’S NEW OFFSHORE PLATFORM
In 2004, Petrofac Developments acquired a 30% working interest in Block PM304, and assumed operatorship of the Cendor field development. Petrofac’s partners in the Production Sharing Contract include Petronas Carigali, Kufpec and PetroVietnam. The Cendor field, discovered in the 1970’s and classified as marginal due to its complex geological structure. The Cendor field is located in the northeast corner of Block PM304 in about 70 metres of water with principal producing horizons in the H Group of Middle Miocene sands. (Source – Media Releases)

Muhibbah Engineering (M) Bhd has received an award from Petrofac (Malaysia-PM304) Limited for the execution of the engineering, procurement, construction and installation (“EPCI”) of wellhead platform (“WHP”) for East Cendor Field Development (Phase 1) Project (“the Contract”) located offshore Peninsular Malaysia. The Contract involveS a substructure, topsides, new Full Wellstream (“FWS”) export facilities including water injection, gas lift local power generation, chemical injection facilities and communications via Digital Microwave Radio system for communications. The oil, water and gas FWS production will be exported to the Cendor Floating Production Storage Offloading (“FPSO”) for processing and gas lift and water injection supply will be from Cendor Wellhead Platform Bravo (“CDW-B platform”).
Under this arrangement, MUHIBBAH has today awarded Reach Integrated with the task of “Design, Supply, Testing and Onshore Commissioning” of various Telecommunication Systems for the new EAST CENDOR Wellhead Platform A (ECW-A) as well as the necessary telecommunication integration and tie-in works at the existing CDW-B Platform.
Reach Integrated’s scope of works would include design, supply, testing & commissioning of:-
a. Digital Microwave Radio (DMR) System;
b. UHF-FM Radio System;
c. Life Raft Radio Communication System;
d. VHF-FM Marine Radio System;
e. Radar Beacon (RACON) System;
f. Data Network System; and
g. Telephone System.
