27 Aug TELECOMMUNICATION SYSTEMS FOR OFFSHORE FACILITIES – REACH INTEGRATED AWARDED DIGITAL MICROWAVE RADIO (DMR) SYSTEM FOR PETRONAS’ BAYAN REDEVELOPMENT GAS PHASE 2 PROJECT
PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Petroliam Nasional Bhd or PETRONAS. PCSB is Malaysia’s premier organization which engages in locating, exploring and producing oil and gas reservoirs. It also engages in oil and gas well drilling, as well as engineering, construction & commissioning natural gas pipeline and associated facilities.
PCSB is also the operator for the BAYAN field which is located in Sub-block 4Q-21 of Balingian Province, about 80km North-West of Bintulu MLNG in a water depth of approximately 30m. The existing BAYAN hub comprises of Drilling Platform (BYDP-A), Production Platform (BYP-A), Compression Platform (BYGA) and Riser Platform (BYR-A). All of them are interconnected via bridge links. The Satellite Drilling Platforms namely BYDP-B, BYDP-C and BYDP-D and Vent Platform BYVA are interconnected to BYP-A via subsea pipelines.
Dialog Bayan Petroleum Sdn Bhd (DIALOG) is the contractor appointed by PCSB under the Oilfield Service Contract (OSC) to enhance the recoverable reserves through production enhancement activities, oil development and prospect appraisal across the BAYAN Field.
Under such arrangement, DIALOG has awarded Reach Integrated with an award to provide a new Internet Protocol Digital Microwave Radio (IP DMR) System between BYG-A and BYDP-C Platforms for the purpose of carrying critical process instrumentation date from the BYDP-C’s FGS/ICSS/RTU/SIS/ASD Systems for monitoring and control purposes at BYG-A.
